Sept 10 – RHC Commission GKN's New Crane Systems
Jul 10 – SWF's New Manual Lifting Equipment Range
RHC Lifting Ltd has won the contract to design, manufacture and install a SWF multi latching crane system, with a 32 metre span.
The crane system will be installed in GKN Aerospace’s new manufacturing plant in Avonmouth. All cranes will be controlled by a Siemens central control PLC with wireless communications. Seimens expects this to become one of the most technically advanced crane systems in Europe.
An Autec C26PRO radio remote control system with a special Sirio joystick transmitter and Infra-red start up will control the cranes. Work onsite began in August and will be completed by February 2010.
